Everything happens for a reason
I've got a funny story yet meaningful to share about my cleansing oil getting confiscated by the airport staff in Thailand.
So, a couple of weeks ago, I was traveling to Thailand-Malaysia and of course I brought along all my skincare products because my skin was not in the best condition due to redness and acne, so I was really relying on my trusted skincare routine.
As I was getting ready to fly to Malaysia, I completely forgot about the liquid restrictions in Thailand. Apparently, you can't bring anything in a bottle larger than 100 ml. Long story short, my 200 ml cleansing oil got confiscated along with my lotions. I was unhappy because I had just bought the cleanser and hadn't even used half of it. I had no choice but to let it go.
Despite feeling dissatisfied about the earlier encounter, I am still dedicated to finding a replacement for my beloved cleanser. Until I stumbled upon a milk cleanser from a local brand, I carefully checked the ingredients, and finally put it to my cart. Frankly, I was a bit scared to try it out, afraid it would cause me irritation even after I had already made sure of the ingredients. But, as it turns out, it worked wonders for my skin! It helped with my acne and redness, and my skin started to improve.
So, tbh this isn't just about the cleanser that is being taken away from me. But I want to deliver the moral of the story that I learned from this situation.
Sometimes things don't go as planned, and sometimes people feel unhappy when things are taken away from them but, in reality, God is trying to protect them from potential future difficulties.
Looking back, I'm actually grateful for the airport staff confiscating my cleansing oil because it led me to discover another amazing cleanser. I guess it's true what they say, everything happens for a reason.
